The Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026 includes Environmental Studies (EVS) as an important subject in Paper 1 (Primary Level for Classes 1 to 5). The EVS section assesses candidates’ understanding of environmental concepts, daily life, natural resources, family and society, health, and teaching methodology related to Environmental Studies.

Food – Food obtained from Plants and Animals, Cooking Food and Eating Habits, Food of Animals
(भोजन – पौधों और जंतुओं से प्राप्त भोजन, भोजन पकाना, भोजन करना, जंतुओं का आहार)
Shelter – Types of Houses, Home Decoration and Cleanliness, Family and Domestic Animals
(आवास – आवास और उसके प्रकार, गृह सज्जा और सफाई, परिवार और घरेलू जीव-जंतु)

Why is the JTET EVS Syllabus Important?

The Environmental Studies section helps assess a candidate’s understanding of environmental awareness, health, family, society, natural resources, and classroom teaching strategies.
