Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi has officially released a notification (Advertisement No. 32/2026) regarding the Jharkhand Residential School Entrance Examination 2026 for admission into Class 6 (Session 2026–27). This entrance test is conducted for admission into state-run residential schools operating on the lines of the Netarhat model.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfil the following eligibility conditions before applying.

Basic Eligibility

  • The candidate must be a domicile/resident of Jharkhand
  • Age must be between 10 to 12 years as on 01 August 2026
  • The student must have passed Class 5 or be studying in Class 6
  • The candidate must be enrolled in a recognised school

Reservation Criteria

  • Reserved category candidates must provide valid certificates
  • Reservation benefits will be applicable as per Jharkhand Government rules
